Shaniece Alexander is a systems change agent, social justice strategist, advocate, and critical thought partner dedicated to advancing equity and justice across institutions and communities. With a deep commitment to dismantling systemic oppression, she brings an intersectional, cross-sector approach to addressing barriers that disproportionately impact marginalized communities. Grounded in her lived experience, academic expertise, and professional journey, Shaniece drives cultural and institutional transformation by developing innovative, practical, and sustainable strategies that foster lasting change.
As the Founder & Managing Principal of Venture with Purpose, Shaniece specializes in guiding Venture’s partners through transformational change centered in equity. She partners with clients to deepen their understanding of how systemic inequities and inequitable business practices impact their mission, operations and employee experience, while designing strategies, leadership retreats, and coaching programs that embed equity and inclusivity into daily practices and long-term visioning.
With a career spanning government, nonprofit, and private sectors, Shaniece has worked in both direct service and executive leadership roles, collaborating with local, regional, state, and national organizations to design and implement equitable programs and policies that foster social and economic mobility. Her expertise includes community health, workforce development, adult learning, youth programming, food systems, policy development and implementation, coalition building, strategic planning, civic engagement, organizational development, and equity-driven leadership.
She is a sought-after facilitator, strategist, and advisor, known for her ability to build cross-sector collaborations and develop strategies that empower organizations, leaders, and communities to drive impactful change. Her approach ensures that stakeholders at all levels are actively engaged in shaping sustainable solutions.
A Detroit native, Shaniece holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on Community Health and Urban Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology from Grand Valley State University. She employs a strengths-based, community-centered approach, ensuring that her work is holistic, sustainable, and inclusive. Whether leading initiatives, facilitating transformative conversations, or advising leaders on systemic change strategies, Shaniece remains steadfast in her mission to create a more just, equitable, and thriving society.
